ZDF places additional order for 30 Ikegami ULE-217R monitors

German public-service broadcaster Zweites Deutches Fernsehen (ZDF) has ordered 30 Ikegami ULE-217R 3G/HD/SD-SDI video monitors for installation at its headquarters in Mainz. This purchase forms part of a technical renewal project currently in progress at ZDF's studio area STB-1. All 30 monitors will be used for previewing high-definition television content and as data displays ( ZDF is using around 160 monitors ULE-215/217R in different production areas ). A major reason for choosing this model, besides its good price/quality ratio, was that it can easily be switched on and off remotely or under automated control.

The Ikegami ULE-217 is a multi-format monitor with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution 21.5 inch LED display screen and wide viewing angle (170 degrees horizontal, 160 degrees vertical). Other performance parameters include 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness and 5 millisecond response time.
